A juvenile Gyrfalcon illustrated in the mid-air pursuit of a covey of Hungarian Partridge. The brighter colors are meant to contrast with the rougher brush texture. My goal was to convey chaos in the action of the birds and serenity in the blue sky but with the darker grey undertones of a storm brewing.
