A Flight at Twilight

Acrylic on Panel, Barn Owl in flight at twilight. My goal was to capture the ethereal glow of twilight on the beautiful wings of a barn owl as it cruised over a field in search of a meal. This is the third addition to the walls of my grandmother's room in her nursing home. I've been inspired by her love of birds and wild nature to bring some of it into her living space so she can find this pleasure even when life gets complicated and her health becomes a greater battle.
