This piece was inspired by one of the first animal paintings I completed in college. I wanted to revisit painting giraffes but give it a simple yet dynamic background this time. I used a watercolor canvas to challenge my skills and used the wet-on-wet technique for the sky to contrast the fine detail in the giraffes.
