Sanctuary

"Sanctuary" was inspired by my deep love of natural world and my feeling of kinship with the creatures all around us. For me the existence of these beings creates a feeling of sanctuary for me in the sense that we are all connected and all a part of the whole. I wanted to express this connectivity and reverence by combining realism in with a symbolic and dreamlike image. The medium I used allowed for this and I added natural materials to further enhance what I wanted to express.
