This drawing depicts an Alaskan brown bear fishing for his lunch. I was inspired by the song "Running Bear" by Johnny Preston, a song my grandfather loved. I created this in honor of him. "Chief" is one of the most detailed and challenging pieces I've created, so it was rewarding to see the work of countless hours of drawing come to fruition. The contrast, details, and textures at play make this one of my all-time favorites.
