A piece that is part of my ongoing "Treasures" series that celebrates the flora and fauna of southern California. Along with a black-tailed jackrabbit, this piece depicts chuparosa, darkling beetle, red-tailed hawk feather, California golden poppy, coyote claw, and desert lupine. It's my goal with this piece to show all the small, potentially overlooked beauties of the natural world, specifically in the desert which is brimming with life.
