Aria, a rescued dog from Taiwan, was abandoned at a market on Christmas Eve after being spayed. Thanks to Love & Second Chances Rescue Association, Aria has been flown to the States and found a loving home. I am not 100% sure why these animals could not find homes in their original country, but I am sure the rescue groups have exhausted their resources. There are many Arias waiting to be transported and given new lives. Her story inspired me to create a painting of Aria.
