This colored pencil piece was based primarily on my beautiful golden retriever, Lady. The style was inspired by nostalgia for some of the art I loved as a child in the Lisa Frank brand. I drew from the tropical feel and the whimsical bright colors to complement my dog's sweet, sunny personality. Now that I have my own golden girl in real life, she has brought me full circle, living my childhood Lisa Frank dreams.
