Tenrecs really inspire me for both their strangeness and beauty. Combining their vibrant colors and alien appearance, I painted this verdant watercolor scene.
Fun fact about this species: They have specialized quills on their backs that rub together to make a sound to communicate with others of their species in the area, similar to crickets.
