The iberian lynx is one of the rarest felines. In 2001, only 62 individuals were left. Thanks to the many efforts to save this animal from extinction, there are now around 2,000 lynx back in the wild. I was lucky enough to be able to look this adolescent in the eye and realise that every animal is worth its weight in gold for sustaining the species.
