Death of Light

Death of Light
By using a more abstract concept of what an angel is, in this case a sort of Chimera of a winged hairless cat with the claws of a harpy eagle, I hope to a more genuine empathy from the viewer that goes beyond the physicality of the subject. This angel, Light, visited this earthly realm to bring knowledge and understanding to man. Mankind, jealous of her power, was not satisfied with her gifts. As she ascended back to the heavens they struck her with arrows in a feeble attempt to take her power for themselves. Thusly, Light was taken from this world and her own.
